FBI arrests wife of Orlando nightclub shooter
The wife of the man who carried out the worst mass shooting in U.S. history has been arrested.
Noor Salman was reportedly taken into custody by FBI agents at her home near San Francisco.
Officials say she’s facing federal charges of aiding and abetting, as well as obstruction of justice.
Investigators had suspected Salman played some sort of role in the attack carried out by her husband Omar Mateen.
Mateen was killed in a shootout with police during the massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando that left 49 people dead and dozens more injured.
Salman is due to make an appearance in court on Tuesday.
She will then face extradition to Tampa, Florida where she was indicted.
