Police in Southwark have released images of two women they are keen to speak with following an anti-Muslim attack against a Muslim woman in her 40s.

The incident took place on October 28 at roughly 20:10. Officers responded to reports that a Muslim woman experiencing racial and religious verbal abuse. As police arrived, the suspects had punched the Muslim woman in the head, and kicked her off the bus. The verbal abuse continued after the assault.

Police confirmed that the main suspects are two black women in their 20s. Nor have they made any arrests. The story made national headlines last month.

An eyewitness tweeted that the woman was visibly Muslim.

With the release of fresh CCTV they also hope to speak to witnesses who may have photographed or filmed the attack and abuse.

A pensioner has been remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted murder after a visible Muslim woman was allegedly pushed into an oncoming London Underground train.

Police were called to Piccadilly Circus station at around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 10, where the alleged incident took place on one of the station’s Bakerloo line platforms.

The Muslim woman, who wears the hijab, suffered minor injuries, and had her cuts treated in hospital.

Yoshiyuki Shinohara, 81, of no fixed abode, appeared before Westminster Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He will appear before Blackfriars Crown Court on November 25.

Another video has come to light with graphic terms used to abuse what seems to be a Turkish Muslim victim of anti-Muslim hatred. This coming to light so soon after the previous video of abuse against a Muslim female and where an arrest has been made regarding the perpetrator. The perpetrator seems to be a young black man sitting on a bus whilst he shouts obscenities to the victim.
