Safeguarding Young People in Waltham Forest in the Online World

This is the second in a series of public outreach events in the Borough of Waltham Forest that we are conducting. These series of outreach sessions that are part of the Safeguarding programme of work in the Borough, look at the online world and the threats and opportunities that it provides to young people. We will also explore the impacts on young people of web-sites and targeted material that may influence them and play on their emotions and such risks will be discussed with mothers in Waltham Forest.

The next event in Waltham Forest will be held on the 24th of June from 10 am to 1 pm at the following venue: The Cornerstone Church, 149 Canterbury Road, Leyton, E10 6EH. We hope that you can join us at the event and particularly if you are a resident of Waltham Forest. You can also RSVP your attendance to Rehman Anwer on rehman@faith-matters.co.uk.

Finally, if you are interested in supporting the project, why not contact us? We are looking to engage with individuals and organisations who have an interest in safeguarding issues and this is a challenging area given the possible risks to young people.
